Just after Yee-Haw Brewing Company opened its Knoxville location, the Tennessee brewery has partnered with Nashville brand Daddy's Dogs to bring gourmet hot dogs to another Yee-Haw location in East Tennessee.
Daddy's Dogs will be on the menu at Ober Mountain's Yee-Haw, which soft opened in December 2022 and is open year-round.
This is the first Daddy's Dogs location outside of Nashville. The brand has 10 hot dog carts, three shops and two stadium locations. The brand launched in 2015.
"We are so excited for this partnership with Ober and Yee-Haw, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive! I’m excited to be a part of the rebirth of Ober, and am excited to bring our brand to the area,” Daddy's Dogs' owner Sean "Big Daddy" Porter wrote in a press release.
Yee-Haw opened its Knoxville taproom on Feb. 3, bringing with it Prince's Hot Chicken from Nashville.
Ober Mountain in Gatlinburg was purchased by the owners of Yee-Haw in Oct. 2022. The Yee-Haw location is open while the resort is being remodeled.
What's on Daddy's Dogs menu in Gatlinburg?
The Ober Mountain location in Gatlinburg will have everything from the Nashville menu except for the Mac Daddy and Eloté hot dogs.
It's offering an exclusive menu item called the Ober Brat, which includes a Yee-Haw Dunkel-soaked bratwurst covered in sauerkraut and spicy mustard.
A few of the hot dogs available:
Big Daddy Dog: cream cheese, bacon, pickle, grilled onion, jalapeno and "secret sauwce"
New York: sauerkraut and spicy mustard
Chicago: pickle, onion, tomato and mustard
Seattle: grilled onion, cream cheese and Sriracha
Georgia: cream cheese, peach, jalapeno and "secret sauwce"
"You’re also able to make any other dog on the menu as an Ober Brat! We usually only bring this out for our Oktoberfest, but it just felt right to have as a full time option up there," Porter wrote in an email to Knox News.
Porter said there are plans for future Daddy's Dogs in East Tennessee but didn't provide more detail.
"I’m so excited for this opportunity outside of Nashville, and it won’t be the last. We have a few other irons in the fire for the area, and I’m hoping we can become a household name out in East TN, just like we are in Nashville," Porter wrote in an email to Knox News.
Thank you Knox News for the time and story.
